Penn President Amy Gutmann is still under fire over claims that she has not done enough to promote diversity across the University administration.

Graduate School of Education professor Laura Perna discussed her book, “Preparing Today’s Students for Tomorrow’s Jobs in Metropolitan America” in Houston Hall on Wednesday night. Following Perna’s presentation, contributing authors held a discussion panel of their own chapters.

Defense Secretary Leon Panetta and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Martin Dempsey announced on Wednesday that the ban on women serving in the military would be lifted. However, female students preparing for the navy and military already have a mostly integrated training experience.
