A Recap in Photos: Penn Museum's "Beneath the Surface" Preview

This past Friday, Penn Museum held a preview of its newest exhibition "Beneath the Surface: Life, Death, and Gold in Ancient Panama." Three Penn undergraduates, Monica Fenton, Sarah Parkinson, and Ashley Terry, made major contributions to the exhibition, which features a 1940 dig at Sitio Conte, Panama. The exhibition opens to the general public on Saturday, February 7.

Over 7,000 people, including Penn students, marched through Center City today as part of the nationwide Reclaim MLK campaign. Protestors aimed to honor the legacy of Martin Luther King by rallying to fight racial injustice with specific demands that included raising the minimum wage and ending the use of "stop and frisk."
