At The Daily Pennsylvanian, we are committed to fulfilling our mission of informing and driving conversation. This mission includes providing members of the Penn community with the opportunity to submit guest columns. Opinion pieces, regardless of their content, do not reflect our values as a company and are meant as a tool to encourage discourse across a spectrum of viewpoints. We stand by our decision to publish the Dec. 2 column titled “Penn is not on stolen land.”
During the editing process for this guest column, a DP manager violated our company policies. That individual misrepresented the publication’s intentions and communicated with an external organization on behalf of the DP without editors’ permission. After an internal review, that individual has tendered their resignation.
