The Daily Pennsylvanian joined the Philadelphia Student Press Association as a member newsroom in the spring of 2026.
Founded in April 2025, PSPA is a nonprofit coalition of student news organizations at universities and colleges across Philadelphia that “provides resources, mentorship, and collaborative opportunities that empower the next generation of journalists to tell impactful stories.” Comprised of a dozen collegiate news organizations, the organization focuses on a three-tiered mission of amplifying student voices, promoting press freedom, and building pathways into professional journalism.
PSPA’s goals align closely with the DP’s mission of seeking to inform and drive conversation while providing enduring student experiences in journalism and leadership. The leaders of the DP’s 142nd Board of Editors and Managers looks forward to the opportunity for closer collaboration with their peers across the Greater Philadelphia area.
