Among the reported crimes were eight thefts.

Retail Theft:

January 30: A suspect took merchandise and left the Urban Outfitters store without payment.

February 2: A suspect took merchandise from CVS on 3925 Walnut and passed points of sale without payment.

February 4: Suspect was observed placing merchandise in her bag to avoid payment in Giant Heirloom Market on 34th and Chestnut streets. Suspect was identified as Olivia Hopkins, unaffiliated with Penn. An arrest was made.

Bike Theft:

February 3: A locked bicycle was reported missing from the bike rack in front of the Penn Bookstore.

February 5: Suspect identified as John Evans, unaffiliated with Penn, was observed removing bait bike from where it was locked outside Penn Bookstore. An arrest was made.

Theft from Building:

February 3: Complainant reported finding her phone missing from her unattended bag at Huntsman Hall.

February 4: Complainant reported an unknown suspect took her laptop from a desk at Van Pelt Library.

February 5: Complainant reported her laptop was missing from where she left it in a common area at Huntsman Hall while she attended class.

Sex Offense:

January 31: A confidential case of rape was reported.

Fraud:

February 3: Several fraudulent credit card charges were reported by a complainant in Rodin College House.

Vandalism:

February 6: The Daily Pennsylvanian building’s exterior front door was struck by a cinder block, causing the glass to break.
