What if you could pay your bill without waiting on your server to drop off the check?
That's the premise behind MyCheck, an start-up that coordinates an app with point-of-sale systems — the software servers use to send your orders to the kitchen and keep track of diners' charges — so that diners can split their bill and pay on their phones at their leisure. The app allows you to pay by item ordered, so it helps alleviate the confusion and awkwardness of splitting a bill at the end of meal, too.
The service isn't available everywhere, but it's already usable at restaurants in New York, Tel Aviv, the United Kingdom and Brazil.
