A car crash occurred at the intersection of 40th and Walnut streets around midnight on Tuesday. The accident was caused by a person unaffiliated with the University who will be charged with DUI, according to Division of Public Safety spokeswoman Stef Karp.
The crash, which involved two cars, blocked off traffic at the intersection for upwards of an hour.
All three occupants of the cars — two in the car that was struck and one in the other — sustained injuries during the crash and were transported to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. They are currently in stable condition.
