Eat. Work. Sleep. These are the staples of college life; the bits in-between are just foreplay. Is it not odd then, that Penn makes it as difficult as possible to get on and revel in these activities?
By 8 o’clock, all dining halls are closed, keeping starving athletes who finish practice at 9pm and late-night eaters from using precious dining swipes.
The textbook situation is also silly; I have yet to comprehend how much I spent on one semester’s worth of books. Their prices should be reduced. It should be clearer when choosing courses online, just how much you will be spending to take that class when hidden costs, such as books, are taken into account.
Katherine Mateo, Philip Fuchs, Aman Gupta and I are running in conjunction for UA so that we can not only fix these issues, but also make the foreplay that much sweeter. Wake up, Penn.
