It was a busy weekend for the Penn softball team.
The Quakers came out even, splitting with both Lehigh Friday and Rider Saturday at Warren Field.
Led by strong pitching from Mikenzie Voves — who gave up just two earned runs over seven innings — Penn (7-9) earned its first home victory of the season with a 4-2 win over Lehigh (9-11). The Quakers couldn’t hold off the Mountain Hawks in the second game, falling, 12-4.
The Red and Blue experienced much of the same Saturday against Rider (4-14), this time losing the first game, 8-3, and winning the second, 6-4.
