Monday night, the Philadelphia Sports Writers Association honored a number of Penn athletes and coaches held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Cherry Hill, N.J.

The PSWA recognized football coach Al Bagnoli with a Special Achievement Award for his record eight Ivy League titles. A finalist for the Eddie Robinson Award as the FCS National Coach of the Year, Bagnoli — who has been coaching at Penn for 18 seasons — led the Quakers this year to a repeat as Ivy champions.

The Association also honored former coach Fran Dunphy — who won 10 Ivy League titles and four Big 5 titles while at Penn — before moving crosstown to Temple in 2006 . He has guided the Owls to two Atlantic 10 championships and recently won his 400th game.

Also attending the dinner were Penn women's rowing seniors and bronze medalists at the 2010 U-23 World Rowing Championships Rebecca and Elizabeth Donald.

Phillies stars Roy Halladay and Shane Victorino were also honored at the annual event.
