According to Penn Leads the Vote co-Director Jared Fries, the group’s polling operations have been going “smoothly.”
“We’ve been working and watching the polls all day,” Fries said. “We’ve seen a lot of enthusiasm from students so far, and we're hopeful."
Fries, however, was unable to release data regarding poll numbers.
As of now, no “problem areas,” such as malfunctioning polling booths, have been brought to the group’s attention, Fries said.
Polls opened at 7 a.m. and will close at 8 p.m.
