Assault
August 28 - Morton Reeves, 35, unaffiliated with the University and of the 300 block of Spring Garden St., was arrested at about 4:30 p.m. for allegedly spraying lighter fluid on four people at 40th and Market streets, then attempting to set them on fire. No one was injured, and all those involved knew each other.
Theft
August 21 - Starr Robinson, 38, unaffiliated with the University and of the 1600 block of N. 34th Street was arrested at about 5 p.m. for allegedly removing merchandise from CVS, located at 3401 Walnut St., without paying.
August 22 - A known suspect was reported at about 6 p.m. to have removed merchandise from American Apparel, located at 3661 Walnut St., without paying.
August 22 - An unknown suspect was reported at about 11 a.m. to have removed property from a secured rental vehicle on the 3600 block of Sansom Street.
August 23 - Glenn Reese, 51, unaffiliated with the University and of the 5400 block of Sansom Street was arrested at about 1 p.m. for allegedly leaving with merchandise from CVS, located at 3925 Walnut St., without paying.
August 24 - A male unaffiliated with the University, 38, reported at about 4 p.m. that an unknown suspect removed his unsecured cash from the 4200 block of Walnut Street.
August 24 - A woman unaffiliated with the University, 22, reported at about 8:15 p.m. that an unknown suspect removed property from her secured vehicle on the 300 block of St. Marks Street.
August 25 - A female student reported at about 9:45 a.m. that an unknown suspect removed credit cards from her purse at the University City Sheraton, located at 3549 Chestnut St.
August 26 - Gregory Strickland, 44, unaffiliated with the University and of the 5200 block of Catherine Street, was arrested at about 12:30 a.m. for allegedly removing merchandise from the Fresh Grocer, located at 4001 Walnut St., without paying.
August 26 - A known suspect was reported around 1 p.m. to have removed merchandise from Radio Shack, located at 212 S. 40th St., without paying
August 26 - An unknown suspect was reported around 4 p.m. to have removed unsecured cash from a register in Ben & Jerry's, located at 218 S. 40th St.
August 27 - A female student, 21, reported at about 12:30 a.m. that an unknown suspect removed her secured bicycle on the 3900 block of Ludlow Street.
Vandalism
August 26 - A female student, 18, reported at about 4 p.m. that an unknown suspect broke a window to her residence located on S. 39th Street.
Fraud
August 21 - Unsecured cash was reported to have been taken from the Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology, located at 3260 South Street, at about 2:30 p.m. by an unknown suspect.
