Police in New Haven, Conn., suspect that the female remains they found in a building near the Yale University campus Sunday is the body of missing Yale medical student Annie Le.
The building in which the remains were found was the last place Le was seen before her disappearance last Tuesday.
Though the body has yet to be officially identified, authorities are now classifying the case as a homicide investigation, according to the Yale Daily News.
According to a campus-wide e-mail from Yale President Richard Levin, the state Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will perform an autopsy to confirm the identity of the body.
