Two Drexel University students died in a car accident yesterday at 3:30 a.m. two miles south of Liberty, Pa., according to The Philadelphia Inquirer. No other cars were involved in the crash.

The students, John Williamson Jr., 21, of Havertown, Pa. and Ian Alexander, 22, of Royerford, Pa., were accompanied by driver Andrew Cardamone, 19, of Philadelphia and passengers Eric Rayburn, 18, of Quakertown, Pa., Kevin MacDonald, 18, of Philadelphia and Adam Marsh, 20, of Collegeville, Pa., according to the article.

The four survivors, also Drexel students, were hospitalized - Cardamone, Rayburn and MacDonald at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pa. and Marsh at Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, Pa. All were in serious condition last night.

Investigation of the crash is pending, and no further information had been released as of Sunday night. State Trooper Travis Doebler said in a report that the four surviving passengers were wearing their seatbelts, the Associated Press reported.

Police have not said whether alcohol was involved or whether Williamson and Alexander were wearing seatbelts, according to the Inquirer article.

Police told Williamson's mother, Donna Williamson, no alcohol was involved, she told the Inquirer.

All six students were either members or prospective members of the Drexel chapter of Alpha Chi Rho fraternity, according to the Inquirer, and on a fraternity trip when the accident occurred. The trip was not an official University trip, Drexel spokesman Noah Cohen told the newspaper.
