Outgoing senior Dean Merrill may have seen his career with the Quakers come to an end at the Ivy League Championships, but that doesn't mean he's done.
Merrill - last year's captain - qualified for the 108th U.S. Amateur Championship for the second year in a row.
The tournament begins with 312 players in stroke play. Then, the field is narrowed to 64 golfers who compete in match play up until the 36-hole final.
Last year, Merrill was unable to make it out of stroke play.
The tournament is one of the most prestigious held each year. Past winners include Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus and Tiger Woods.
