Theft

Aug. 24 - An employee of the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania had money removed by an unknown suspect from an unsecured cabinet.

Aug. 24 - A person unaffiliated with the University had a GPS system removed from his car at about 5:00 p.m. while it was parked in Garage 7 at South Street and Convention Avenue.

Aug. 24 - A female unaffiliated with Penn had the wheels removed from her bike at about 2:30 a.m. The bike had been secured with a chain lock on the 3400 block of Sansom Street.

Aug. 23 - A woman unaffiliated with the University reported that her bike, which was secured to a tree with a cable lock, was taken by an unknown suspect at about midnight.

Aug. 23 - A man unaffiliated with the University reported that his secured vehicle was broken into while parked at the Penn Tower Garage at about 8:00 p.m. Several stereo component items and CDs were taken.

Aug. 23 - A female employee had her bag taken from the Van Pelt Library at about 4:20 p.m. The bag had been hanging over a chair in an unsecured office.

Aug. 23 - A female unaffiliated with the University reported that an unknown suspect removed her unattended laptop from Van Pelt Library at about 3:45 p.m.

Aug. 20 - A female employee reported that an unknown suspect removed her wallet from an unsecured office on the 3400 block of Market Street at about 1:40 p.m. She later discovered charges made to her credit card.

Aug. 20 - A male student had his unattended laptop stolen from Huntsman Hall by an unknown suspect at about 6:00 p.m.

Aug. 20- A male student had his cell phone stolen from him by a group of unknown suspects on the 4000 block of Locust Street at about 10:10 p.m.

Fraud

Aug. 22 - A female unaffiliated with Penn reported that an unknown suspect made unauthorized purchases on her corporate card at the Steinberg Conference Center, located at 255 S. 38th St.

Aug. 22 - PNC Bank reported that unauthorized withdrawals had been made from various customer accounts.
