Assault
An 88-year-old retired faculty member reported that his tenant punched him and struck him with his walker inside a building on the 3900 block of Delancey Street on July 9. The victim was treated for head and arm injuries and released. Cliff Jung, 35, was arrested on the scene as he attempted to exit the building.
Theft
Li JieChen, 19, of the 4000 block of Chestnut Street was arrested for allegedly attempting to steal about $25 worth of merchandise from the Wawa on the 3600 block of Chestnut on July 10. The suspect is not affiliated with the University.
Michael Renzi, 45, of Cogan Station, Pa., was arrested for allegedly taking about $100 from an unsecured lock box at St. Leonard's Court on the 3800 block of Chestnut Street on July 10. Renzi is unaffiliated with the University.
A student reported that her wallet was taken from her purse at 3401 Walnut St. on Sunday.
Bicycle Theft
A Penn employee reported that her secured bike was removed from the 3400 block of Spruce street on Friday.
A Penn employee reported that his bike was taken from in front of the Delta Psi fraternity house on Locust Walk on Sunday.
Drugs
A 15-year-old was stopped on Saturday for a curfew violation on the 4000 block of Spruce Street and was arrested for possession of packets of crack and a bag containing a green, leafy substance.
Vandalism
Unknown persons were reported to have taken a portion of an unsecured gate from behind a building of the Law School last Wednesday.
