The Nominations and Elections Committee elected its new leadership last night through an internal elections process.

The new positions are as follows:

n Chairman: College junior Dan Strigenz.

n Vice chairwoman for Elections: College junior Colleen Donovan.

n Vice chairwomen for Nominations: College junior Molly Crane and College freshman Brittany Stark.

n Vice chairwoman for Education: College junior Carrie Alexander.

n Secretary/Treasurer: College freshman Rachel Levick.

The relatively new body includes only two returning members from the previous year.

"I'm very proud of next year's executive board and impressed by their accomplishments," said College senior and former NEC chairwoman Laura Brookover. "I know that they'll do great things."

Strigenz said the NEC will continue to work to increase the number of candidates running. They will also push to educate the University community about all branches of student government.

The NEC currently has 29 active members, all of whom were selected through an application process conducted in the fall of every year.
