Sports Brief: Baltimore, Boston get next 2 M. Lax Champs.

After Penn hosts the NCAA men's lacrosse championships at Lincoln Financial Field for the second consecutive year in 2006, the tournament will move to both a familiar site and a new one in the following years.

The 2007 semifinals and finals will be at Baltimore's M & T Bank Stadium, in an event co-hosted by Johns Hopkins University, Loyola College, Towson University and the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, the NCAA released yesterday.

Baltimore previously hosted the championship in both 2003 and 2004.

In 2008, the event will be held at the New England Patriots' Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, Mass. It will be co-hosted by the Eastern College Athletic Conference and Penn's Ivy League rival, Harvard.

That will be the farthest north the championship game has been since it was held at Syracuse, N.Y., in 1991.

The NCAA also released the 2006 and 2007 tournament's quarterfinal sites.

The north region will be in Stony Brook, N.Y., in 2006 and Princeton, N.J., in 2007, respectively, and the south will be in Baltimore and Annapolis, Md.

This year's semifinals will be held on May 27, and the championship game will be two days later.
