Robbery
-- July 3: Two women, one of whom is a Penn graduate student, were robbed at gunpoint at 45th Street and Baltimore Avenue at approximately 3 a.m. Sunday. The robber made off with a total of $101 in cash, assorted credit and debit cards and various forms of identification from both victims. No injuries were reported.
-- July 1: Edward Wilkerson of Southwest Philadelphia and Marcus Tyson of Salisbury, N.C., were arrested for allegedly committing back-to-back armed robberies at around 3:30 a.m. Friday. One of the robberies occurred at 42nd Street and Chester Avenue and the other took place on the 400 block of South 41st Street. Stolen money and cell phones were recovered, and Wilkerson was found with a loaded .38 Smith and Wesson Special revolver.
Burglary
-- July 1: The third-floor apartment of a 31 year old woman -- located on the 4100 block of Baltimore Avenue -- was broken into between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Friday. A Toshiba laptop valued at $1500 was stolen. The apartment door had been forced open with a crowbar.
Theft
-- June 28: Penn Police arrested West Philadelphia residents Darryl Eggleston, 57, and Tony Watson, 36, for allegedly breaking into a vehicle parked in the Presbyterian Hospital parking lot on the 3800 block of Filbert Street and taking two cell phones.
