Crime Log: June 16, 2005

Robbery

June 11 -- A 26-year-old male graduate student was robbed at gunpoint by a man at about 4:45 a.m. on the 4200 block of Pine Street. The thief fled on foot westbound on Pine Street with the victim's identification, credit cards, $20 in cash and two DVDs. The victim was not injured.

Burglary

June 11 -- Eric Ingram ?-- a Southwest Philadelphia resident and an employee of the Bubble House at 3404 Sansom St. --ÿwas arrested with Lamar Canady, also of Southwest Philadelphia, after police stopped Ingram's white Chevrolet Lumina and saw a Bubble House safe containing $1,075 on his lap. Both men are being charged with burglary, theft and related offenses.

Theft

June 13 -- According to a Presbyterian Hospital administrator, $120 was stolen from a cash box in an unlocked office area in the hospital between 5:45 p.m. Friday and 9:30 a.m. Monday. The hospital is located at 39th and Market streets.

June 12 -- A 26-year-old male resident of West Philadelphia reported that his cell phone was taken from his hand while at the Blarney Stone on the 3900 block of Sansom Street.

June 11 -- A 21-year-old male senior reported that his black 1998 Honda Civic was stolen while parked unattended on the 4000 block of Pine Street between 6 p.m. Thursday and noon Saturday.

June 10 ?--Barbara Sellers, a 42-year-old West Philadelphia resident, was arrested for stealing credit cards, identification and $42 in cash from the purse of a Presbyterian Hospital employee who was attending to her in an exam room.

June 9 -- Various textbooks and six packs of cigarettes -- valued at $420 -- were stolen from the unlocked Hamilton College House room of a 25-year-old female student.
