n May 23 ? Two juveniles were arrested for stealing $48.02 worth of cooked king-crab legs from the Fresh Grocer located at 4001 Walnut St. at about 8:45 p.m.
n May 23 ? A 25-year-old female University employee reported that her handbag ? containing her birth certificate and Social Security card ? was stolen from under her desk at the Laboratory for Research on the Structure of Matter, located at 3231 Walnut St. The Kenneth Cole bag ? valued at $425 ? was in an unsecured office area.
n May 23 ? A female employee of Presbyterian Hospital ? located at 51 N. 39th St. ? reported that her Dell laptop was stolen from an unsecured office area between 5 p.m. on Friday and 10 a.m. on Monday. The laptop is valued at $3,300.
n May 23 ? A nurse at Presbyterian Hospital reported that a Dell desktop PC flat-screen monitor, a keyboard and a Lexmark color printer were stolen from Room 438 West of the hospital between 3 p.m. on Friday and 8 a.m. on Monday.
n May 22 ? A 19-year-old male Penn junior reported that unknown persons broke into the cargo carrier on top of his vehicle while it was parked behind the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity house, located at at 3908 Spruce St., and stole 40 DVDs and miscellaneous clothing. The items are valued at $1,100.
n May 20 ? Two unknown men stole 36 pairs of long shorts ? valued at $1,422 ? from the Gap store located at 3423 Walnut St. They fled in a dark blue Volkswagen Passat, driving up onto the sidewalk and then west on Walnut Street.
Burglary
n May 21 ? A male sophomore reported that his 20-inch Panasonic flat-screen TV and four Logitech computer speakers were stolen from the Sigma Nu fraternity house, located at 3819 Walnut St., between noon and 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. There were pry marks on the basement door indicating forced entry.
