U.N. Secretary General Kofi Annan was announced as this year's Commencement speaker. He will speak on May 16 at the University's 249th graduation ceremony.
He will also receive an honorary Doctor of Laws degree from the University. Last year's keynote commencement speaker was U2 frontman Bono.
