Theft

Feb. 7 -- A male unaffiliated with the University reported that an unknown person stole a pair of sunglasses -- valued at $300 -- from his Jeep Cherokee at 12:07 a.m. by breaking into the rear, passenger-side window. The car was located at 3400 Chestnut St.

Feb. 3 -- Police arrested Donald Taylor, 54, at 3 p.m. for allegedly stealing $37.41 worth of toothpaste and body wash from Freshgrocer, located at 4001 Walnut St. Taylor is unaffiliated with the University.

Feb. 3 -- A construction company reported that unknown persons stole a snowblower -- valued at $550 -- from the roof of the Life Sciences Building at 433 S. University Ave. between 5 p.m. Jan. 1 and 5:30 a.m. Jan. 3.

Feb. 2 -- A student complainant reported that a digital camera -- valued at $600 -- was stolen from a studio in Meyerson Hall, located at 210 S. 34th St., between 6 p.m. Jan. 27th and 9 p.m. Jan. 28th.

Disorderly Conduct

Feb. 5 -- Police arrested Sheria Tucker, 20, around 1:15 a.m. for yelling profanities and causing disturbances in the Bridge: Cinema de Lux theater, located at the intersection of 40th and Walnut streets.

Tucker -- who is unaffiliated with the University -- was taken to the police station at 4040 Chestnut St. and released with a citation.

Feb. 3 -- Police arrested James Spivey, 35, around 11 a.m. for obstructing the intersection of 39th and Walnut streets. Spivey is unaffiliated with the University.

Other Crimes

Feb. 6 -- Police arrested Hollen Stewart, 48, around 11:45 p.m. in the 100 block of 39th Street for illegally carrying a gun. Two men reported that a male wearing a white Philadelphia Eagles jersey had a gun. After police found and frisked Stewart -- who met the description and is unaffiliated with the University -- they recovered a .380-caliber semi-automatic handgun. The gun was registered to a Michael Bridges but was not reported stolen.
