The No. 14 Quakers picked up their first Ivy loss Saturday night in New Haven, Conn. After a scoreless first half, Yale senior forward Lindsey Williams provided the game's only goal on a feed from sophomore Alex Munns in the 76th minute.
Sophomore goalie Daniel Cepero matched his Elis counterpart, freshman Dwayne Whylly, with seven saves on the night.
Penn is now winless in its last three games after tying Dartmouth and losing to No. 25 Maryland before coming into Saturday's game. The Red and Blue falls to 6-4-2 on the season and 2-1-1 in Ancient Eight play.
Women's Soccer: Yale 3, Penn 2, Double Overtime
The Penn women lost for the first time since Sept. 17 - and the first time in Ivy play - Saturday, but did not go down without a fight.
Seniors Katy Cross and Rachelle Snyder each recorded goals for the Quakers, but Yale sophomore Mimi Macauley would provide the difference in the 102nd minute.
Penn drops to 7-5-2 and 3-1-1 in the Ivy League.
