W. Track prepped for Ivy matchup at Cornell
Coming off a strong showing last weekend at the Black Knight Invitational in West Point, N.Y., the Penn women's Track and Field team looks to continue building momentum on its winter season this Saturday. The squad will return to the Empire State, where it will compete in the Cornell Multi Meet.
Though this will be the second time that the Quakers will compete with an Ivy rival, this will be the first scored meet against competition that the Quakers will see again at the Heptagonal Championships in March. Penn faced off with Brown University, among others, at the unscored Brown Invitational on Dec. 6.
The Cornell Multi Meet has typically drawn teams from within the upstate New York region. In addition to the host club, last season's draw featured Syracuse, Albany, Ithaca, Binghamton and Colgate.
The team will be looking for seniors Emily Logan and Elaina Lord to continue their extremely strong performances in the distance events. The duo finished first and second in the 3,000 meters last weekend and, in November, led the Cross Country squad to Penn's highest finish at the Heps in 10 years.

Gymnastics sweeps ECAC weekly honors
Three Penn gymnasts -- Emily Petkun, Kara Dewhurst and Alexandra Perrotto -- were honored by the ECAC for their outstanding performances this past weekend.
Petkun was picked as Co-Athlete of the Week for the second time in her Penn career. Rookie of the Week honors went to Dewhurst. Perrotto won the Coaches Choice Award for returning to the Penn lineup after missing last season with a dislocated ankle.
