Theft

April 6 -- A female not affiliated with the University reported a theft from her vehicle, parked in Lot 5 of the Palestra at approximately 9 p.m. The window of the vehicle was broken, and her purse containing credit cards, a cell phone and $13 in cash were taken. The items were valued at $153.April 6 -- A female University student reported the theft of two bags containing power drills from the Performing Arts Shop at approximately 5:40 a.m. The Performing Arts Scene Shop is located at 4100 Walnut Street.April 6 -- A female student reported the theft of a cash box from the Iron Gate Theatre, located at 3700 Chestnut Street, at approximately 5:30 a.m. The box contained $300 in cash.April 4 -- Amon Norwood, a 27-year-old male not affiliated with the University, was arrested for the retail theft of a tank top from Urban Outfitters, located at 110 S. 36th Street. The tank top was valued at $18.April 4 -- A student reported the theft of clothes from the dryer in the laundry room of Hill College House, located at 3333 Walnut Street.April 3 -- A female Drexel University student reported the theft of her pocketbook from Cavanaugh's, located at 119 S. 39th Street, at 9 p.m. The pocketbook contained a cell phone, wallet, checkbook, credit cards and $40 in cash. The suspects were reportedly two females in traditional Muslim garb, including head dresses and face veils.April 3 -- A male student reported the theft of his coat from Huntsman Hall, located at 3730 Walnut Street, at approximately 4:30 p.m. The coat contained a wallet with a license and credit cards. The items were valued at $120.
