The conference, which includes Drexel and Delaware, was weary of being confused with other abbreviated leagues like the NEC (Northeast Conference) and MAAC (Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference). Since being called up from Iowa on June 8 , the 1991 first-round draft pick has been used a spot starter in left field. Through games of July 1, Glanville has made 12 appearances, but only has 29 at bats. He collected seven hits, for a .241 batting average. Three went for extra bases -- two doubles and a triple.
