A student rally to show support for a debate will take place in the Annenberg Quadrangle beginning at 10:15 a.m. this morning, according to College senior Lance Rogers, chairperson of the Undergraduate Assembly. Free hot chocolate will be available at the half-hour rally, he added. And UA members will be passing out stickers reading "We're Great for a Debate!" College Democrats and College Republicans have also been involved in planning the rally. Banners with student signatures will be hung on Locust Walk to demonstrate the depth of the University's interest in hosting a debate on campus, Rogers said. "We will essentially be welcoming the rep from the commission to campus," he said. "We want her to leave her with the impression that Penn students are 100 percent behind this debate, and really want it to happen here." The Penn Band will provide entertainment at the rally. Rogers said the UA passed out fliers advertising the rally in 1920 Commons and the freshman dormitories last night, adding that he would be pleased if at least "a couple hundred" students attend. -- Lisa Levenson
