Evolution exhibit opens at Penn

From hominid to homo sapien, human evolution has shaped who you are. And this weekend you can discover more about your past at the opening of the Penn Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology's newest exhibit, "Surviving: The Body of Evidence," an exploration of the human body and its evolutionary roots.


Students praised for relief efforts

In August 2005, the winds and waters of Hurricane Katrina devastated the Gulf Coast, and Penn students have been helping to rebuild the area ever since. Yesterday, the Fox Leadership Program hosted a "celebration and call to Service," congratulating student groups from Penn for previous and upcoming community service trips to the area in the past two and a half years.

From 50 Cent to Eminem, hip-hop artists have been accused of inciting violence and sexism, but are they also trying to inspire? Last night at Houston Hall, the Race Dialogue Project held the event "Soulja Boys: Hip-hop, Violence, and the New Civil Rights" to address such a question.
