The Undergraduate Assembly is working harder than ever to serve you this year

The proposed art tax is a too-quick fix at the end of a long budget negotiation

From a live silk screening to a rap about a “master penis,” the Rotunda celebrated its 10th birthday with extravagant performances and art exhibitions.

This fall, the Nominations and Elections Committee has counted a total of 55 freshmen running for either the Class Boards or the Undergraduate Assembly. 15 of the 55 are running for both branches.

For some of Penn's newest and most socioeconomically diverse students, the transition to university life will hopefully follow a clearly marked path to success.

Last night, some of Philadelphia's biggest names came out to honor the life and philanthropy of Leonore Annenberg, one of Penn's single most dedicated donors. Annenberg died March 12 at the age of 91.

After all, the Tigers haven’t beaten the Quakers since 1995, and Princeton has lost the last two meetings by a combined 90-0.

When the Quakers (3-1-2) square off against Harvard (1-5-1) tomorrow, they will not be considering the recent struggles of their Ivy League counterpart.

Clearly the Penn and Harvard field hockey teams are entering tomorrow’s matchup in Boston under very similar circumstances. The Ivy season will be on the line for both squads as they try to avoid an 0-2 conference start.

In the second game of this weekend’s Holiday Inn tournament at the Palestra, the Quakers (8-2) will take on Santa Clara (8-4), which coach Kerry Carr said is easily the best team on the non-conference schedule.

The School of Engineering and Applied Science has introduced a new, revamped Computer Engineering program this semester.

Penn Latinos have come a long way since the first Latino student, Joseph Urquiola from Cuba, graduated from Penn in 1829. Today, there are 24 Latino organizations under the umbrella of the Latino Coalition.

The Preceptorial Committee has had to make several changes to accommodate a larger budget and a vast increase in the number of applications.

It’s at times like this that I’m proud to call myself Canadian.
