The Department of Public Safety sent a Sept. 25 message to the Penn community noting “multiple recent reports” of “groups of young people slapping or striking individuals in the head.”

“When an invitation is accompanied by consequences for not accepting it, it is in fact a threat, not an invitation,” the AAUP-Penn wrote.

Former GAPSA executive board members described an “overarching infiltration” at the hands of administrators, citing unreasonable performance expectations and a lack of respect for shared governance.

The workshop sought to engage the Penn community in the art form and supplement to Japanese culture classes at Penn.

The donation, made by 1971 College graduate Edward W. Kane and his wife Marty Wallace, will go towards a facility named the “Edward W. Kane Theatre.”

Jackson, who assumed the provost position in 2023, described his office as “the perfect perch from which to really make sense” of Penn as an institution. 

More than 200 people attended the event, which was held at Jon M. Huntsman Hall, including current students and 20 alumni. 

Alongside the seasonal decorations both inside and outside of Houston Hall, Penn Violence Prevention and the Cultural Resource Centers held booths informing students of their programs.

Across its vast scale of operations, Penn Dining and Bon Appétit, the catering company that partners with Penn, are taking steps to adopt sustainable practices and embrace environmentally friendly policies.

Rommen described his tenure as an opportunity to create a space where the arts are central to the University’s mission.

In a statement to The Daily Pennsylvanian, Kim wrote that he “really appreciated the connections and friends” he made throughout the election process.

Many of the documents focus on the role of 1982 College graduate Robert Fox, who served as Shapiro’s representative to Penn during and after the University's fall 2023 leadership crisis.

The University is currently collaborating with the fraternity’s national chapter to recharter the group on campus, starting with recruiting founding fathers. 

Wellness first introduced the initiative to increase student engagement with the division and create accessible resources for the Penn community.

The last day to register to vote in Pennsylvania is Oct. 20. Election day this year will take place on Nov. 4.
