The Daily Pennsylvanian spoke with former peers of Donald Trump Jr. in order to understand his life as an undergraduate student before his rise to political prominence.

Trump’s support is highest among students in the Wharton School and the School of Engineering and Applied Science.

Frost spoke with The Daily Pennsylvanian about how Generation Z and college students can influence the outcome of the 2024 presidential election.

Approximately 50 students, Penn affiliates, ACCA members, and Philadelphia community members attended the event, which was held at Two Locals Brewing on Oct. 23.

Casey and Warnock urged attendees to continue to participate in grassroots campaigning and to encourage their friends to turn out to vote on Nov. 5. 

Both groups indicated a large boost in members and engagement this semester compared to previous years.

At Friday's event, Scanlon reiterated the importance of young voters and students in this upcoming election in an interview with The Daily Pennsylvanian.

The governors addressed issues such as the importance of voter turnout this election and the role that Pennsylvania will play in deciding the 2024 presidential election. 

Throughout the course of the debate, the Wharton School — specifically, the Penn Wharton Budget Model — was mentioned three times. 

PWBM's analysis found that Harris' proposed taxing mechanism "reduces capital accumulation," contributing to a drop in projected GDP, according to Wharton professor and PWBM faculty director Kent Smetters. 

Biden used the the Penn Biden Center as his main office in Washington after he departed the vice presidency under former President Barack Obama in 2017.

Casey is running for re-election ahead of his term ending in January 2025. 

The speakers touched on key issues such as reproductive rights, voting rights, and civic engagement, urging attendees to create a voting plan and encourage others to participate in the election.

Biden's speech came as the White House announced an additional $1.3 billion of federal investments for HBCUs.

Schlossberg rose to prominence in the past year for his political commentary and comedic videos on social media.

The 90-minute debate was a chance for Harris to showcase her policy goals and public speaking chops on the national stage, while Trump faced a new competitor for the first time.
