New smoothie, açaí shop to open in Franklin’s Table

The Enerjuicer will open a storefront in Franklin’s Table Food Hall this spring.

The shop supports a “healthy lifestyle” and serves smoothies, açaí bowls, and juices — a first for the food hall. The new location will mark The Enerjuicer’s third location in Philadelphia, joining one in Suburban Station and a newer storefront opening near Washington Square.

The Enerjuicer’s dining concept focuses on combining natural ingredients, such as fresh fruits and vegetables, in front of the customer. In a statement to Shop Penn, owner Kobi Sharav wrote that the team was “very pleased to bring The Enerjuicer to Penn community.”

“Franklin’s Table is a great environment for quick, healthy options throughout the day,” Sharav added.

In addition to The Enerjuicer’s standard sizes, the Franklin’s Table location will introduce a smaller “lower cost” option for customers seeking a “quick refresh between classes or meetings.” The shop will also participate in The Enerjuicer’s loyalty rewards program, which allows returning customers to earn points and discounts.

The University City location will include “fan favorites” from the menu — such as the Classic Samba, an açaí bowl of strawberries, banana, and honey, and the Super Bowl açaí bowl, which combines banana, mango, and peanut butter. It will also serve its Power Special smoothie — which includes strawberries, banana, pineapple, mango, and walnut.

The location will also serve supplements — such as protein, vitamins, wheatgrass, peanut butter, and ginger.

Penn’s Associate Vice President of Real Estate Services Rachel Siegert wrote that Franklin’s Table aims to reflect the “tastes and lifestyles” of the campus community by offering a “mix of exciting, high-quality dining options.”

“The Enerjuicer brings a fresh, health-forward concept that perfectly complements our existing lineup and provides guests with quick, nutritious choices throughout the day,” she added.

The most recent storefront comes after Houston Market introduced a wider selection of healthy beverage options to its meal exchange program in fall 2025. The initiative brought options such as orange juice, apple juice, and milk to the Penn Dining retail location.

The Enerjuicer’s opening at Franklin’s Table follows Korea Taqueria, which launched at the food hall in January. Additionally, Big Dean’s Hot Chicken opened a location at Franklin’s Table in spring 2025, and Gouldsberger’s — a popular burger joint — opened a stall in November 2024.

Earlier this month, The Daily Pennsylvanian reported that Blank Street Coffee is set to open its first Philadelphia location this summer at 3603 Walnut St. Late last year, Insomnia Cookies opened a new location on Penn’s campus, and Taco Bell opened a new storefront in University City.
