Vandalism:

Sept. 13: The suspect defaced a mural with a marker at Horizon House, located at 120 S. 30th St., at about 9:22 a.m. The 64-year-old unaffiliated female suspect, Charetta Brown, received a citation.

Sept. 14:  Penn Police discovered graffiti on a tarp owned by the University at Penn Park, located at the intersection of 31st and Walnut streets, at about 5:18 p.m.

Aggravated Assault:

Sept. 15: The complainant reported that the suspect threatened him with a knife on the 3100 block of Ludlow Street at about 8:11 a.m. Police responded and arrested the 56-year-old unaffiliated male suspect, Troy Macon.

Defiant Trespass:

Sept. 16: The suspect was found trespassing without permission in the graduate dorm Sansom Place East, located at 36th and Chestnut streets, at about 8 a.m. The 28-year-old unaffiliated female suspect, Katherine Aseltine, was given a citation.

Philadelphia Code: Smoking:

Sept. 19: The suspect was observed smoking in a no-smoking zone of the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania emergency bay. She was directed to another area where smoking is permitted, but refused to stop smoking or move. The 22-year-old unaffiliated female suspect, Rashidah Brown, was given a citation.

Fraud:

Sept. 18: The suspect was reported to have left Baby Blues BBQ, located at 3402 Sansom St., without paying for the food he ordered, at about 4:20 p.m. The 51-year-old unaffiliated male suspect, Lawrence Sargent, was arrested.

Auto Theft:

Sept. 17: The complainant reported their truck missing from the rear parking area of the Singh Center for Nanotechnology at about 12:55 p.m.

Bike Theft:

Sept. 14: The suspect was caught after cutting the lock off of a bait bike and attempting to ride away on the stolen bike. The incident occurred at Houston Hall at about 6:43 a.m. The 30-year-old unaffiliated male suspect, Adam Shumakeris, was arrested.

Sept. 16: The complainant reported that her bike was missing after it was locked to a wooden spindle on an exterior staircase of her residence. The incident occurred on the 200 block of 41st Street at about 6 p.m.

Sept. 18: Two suspects were seen cutting the locks off a bait bike and removing it from the Solomon Building, located at 3720 Walnut St., at about 6:48 p.m. The two suspects were arrested. One was a 19-year-old unaffiliated male, Zaikeem Bruce, and the other was a juvenile.

Sept. 18: The complainant reported that his bike was missing after he secured it with a cable lock to the bike rack at Houston Hall, at about 5:20 p.m.

Sept. 19: The complainant reported leaving her bike locked on her porch with a cable lock. When she returned, the lock was cut and the bike was missing. The incident occurred on the 3900 block of Delancey Street at about 8 p.m.

Retail Theft:

Sept. 17: The suspect was observed taking merchandise and leaving the store with the items. The incident occurred at the CVS located at 3925 Walnut St. at about 9:55 a.m. The 26-year-old male suspect, Robert Livingston, was arrested.

Sept. 19: The suspect was observed placing merchandise in his bag and leaving the store. The incident occurred at the CVS located at 3925 Walnut St. at about 7:11 p.m. The 21-year-old unaffiliated male suspect, Austin Huff, was arrested.

Theft from Building:

Sept. 19: The complainants reported that an unknown suspect entered the women’s locker room and removed cash and a phone charger from unattended bags in the room. The incident occurred at the Palestra at about 4 p.m.
