Robbery

May 1 ­— A male cab driver reported at about 11:30 p.m. that while driving his cab on the 3600 block of Market Street, someone displayed a handgun and attempted to forcibly take his vehicle.

Assault

May 2 — A 16-year-old boy unaffiliated with Penn reported at about 9 p.m. that he was assaulted on the 4000 block of Sansom Street. A male juvenile, 14; Leroy Purnell, 21, of the 3800 block of Pearl Street; Stephen Wiggins, 21, of the 3900 block of Market Street; and Stephon Wiggins-Pitts, 19, of the 3900 block of Market Street, all unaffiliated with Penn, were arrested in connection with the incident.

Theft

May 6 — A female University employee, 34, reported shortly after midnight that someone took unattended items from the Veterinary Hospital, located at 3850 Spruce St.

May 5 — Marcus Rogers, 39, of the 6900 block of Woodland Avenue and unaffiliated with the University, was arrested at about 9:15 a.m. for allegedly taking items from a vehicle on the 3800 block of Walnut Street. The vehicle belonged to a 38-year-old man unaffiliated with Penn.

May 5 — A female student, 24, reported at about 4:30 p.m. that someone took items from her unattended bags at Starbucks, located at 3401 Walnut St.

May 5 — A male Wharton sophomore, 21, was arrested at at about 9:45 p.m. for allegedly attempting to take merchandise from Fresh Grocer, located at 4001 Walnut St., without paying.

May 5 — A woman, 44, reported at about 11:45 p.m. that someone took personal items from her secured locker at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.

May 3 — A man unaffiliated with the University, 55, reported at about 9:30 a.m. that someone took unattended personal items from his room at HUP.

May 3 — A woman unaffiliated with the University, 29, reported at about 3:30 p.m. that someone took personal items from her unattended handbag in Irvine Auditorium.

May 3 — A female student, 24, reported at about 5:30 p.m. that someone took personal items from her unattended handbag in Meyerson Hall.

May 2 — At about 4:15 p.m, unknown suspects were reported to have taken merchandise from American Apparel, located at 3661 Walnut St., without paying.

May 1 — A male student, 21, reported at about 11 a.m. that someone removed cash, left in plain view, from his secured vehicle on the 3900 block of Pine Street.

May 1 — Wesley Gates, 35, of the 1400 block of N. 10th Street and unaffiliated with the University, was arrested at about 5:30 p.m. for allegedly taking the wallet of a 70-year-old man unaffiliated with Penn at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center.

Harassment

May 5 — At about 2:15 p.m., a female University employee, 29, reported receiving unwanted phone calls at Penn Presbyterian.

Fraud

May 5 — A female University employee, 40, reported at about 9:45 a.m. that someone used a flim-flam scam to take personal items from her on the 4000 block of Chestnut Street.

May 1 ­— Lagarra Grier, 46, of the 200 block of South 62nd Street, and Richard Peters, 48, of the 500 block of South 60th Street, both unaffiliated with Penn, were arrested at about 10:15 a.m. for allegedly attempting to make a fraudulent transaction at TD Bank, at 3735 Walnut St.
