Last week, The Chronicle of Higher Education released its ranking of private university presidents who earn more than $1 million, and Penn President Amy Gutmann was among the top earners. Though her salary is by no means common, she is not alone.
Gutmann took in $1,279,819 in total compensation in fiscal year 2008, a 10.7-percent increase from the previous year.
On the interactive graphic, see how Gutmann's salary compares to other university leaders and to chief executive officers.
