The Penn women's soccer team was held scoreless in the first half but ended up beating Rider, 3-0, tonight at Rhodes Field. Three different Quakers scored in the second half, with the first goal coming from senior captain Natalie Capuano in the 50th minute.
Sarah Friedman assisted on the Red and Blue's first two goals, giving her a team-best 22 points on the season.
Kaitlin Campbell and Marin McDermott added the other two tallies for the Quakers (8-4-2, 2-1-1 Ivy), who bounced back nicely after a deflating 2-0 loss to Dartmouth that dropped them from the ranks of the Ancient Eight's unbeatens.
Rider (2-10-3) was held scoreless for the eighth time this season.
