'DP' Ivy Rankings: Week 6

A new second place team for men -- again

While the Penn men's team clinched the Ivy League and easily kept its hold atop the DP Ivy Rankings for the fifth straight week, there was a new face in second place again -- as there has been every week of the Rankings.

This time it is Harvard, who has won three of four games to move into a three-way tie for second place in the Ivy League, who moves into the second spot.

Columbia and Dartmouth are the only teams to not be in the No. 2 spot this year.

The Lions, who have lost eight straight, are in the cellar for the second week in a row, while the Big Green continues to move up and is now in fourth.

WHEN DARTMOUTH lost to Brown Friday night, it not only lost complete control of the Ivy League race, but its firm hold on the top spot in the Rankings loosened as well.

Harvard stayed in second, but Penn leapfrogged over Brown into third place.

However, with its strong computer numbers, the Crimson closed the gap on the Big Green considerably since last week. There are three games remaining for the two top teams, one against each other.
