Three female University students were reportedly robbed last night when a man came into the room of one of the alleged victims by way of a fire escape.
The three women were waiting for friends on the fourth floor of the Alpha Chi Omega sorority house, located at 3906 Spruce St., according to College sophomore Jessica Penzell, an AXO sister who was not one of those robbed.
Around 10 p.m., "a man came in and asked for their wallets," Penzell said, explaining that the alleged victims, who were also AXO sisters, had left the door to the fire escape open.
According to University Police, the suspect, who was unarmed and described as African American, 5'9" and wearing blue jeans, got away with a "small amount of U.S. currency and possibly a wallet."
After the alleged incident, the women called the police.
"The police arrived really soon afterwards and I believe they took fingerprints from the wall," Penzell said.
As of early this morning, University Police were still in the process of interviewing witnesses and declined to discuss more specifics of the investigation.
