Campus Crime Report

Burglary

*Oct. 25 -- A male University student reported that between 9:30 p.m., and 10:15 p.m., someone removed the air conditioner from a window at a residence on the 3900 block of Spruce Street and gained entry into an apartment. A cell phone and a credit card, as well as $75 in cash, were taken from the room. Another male University student reported seeing a white man in his 20s in the room. The man was described as six feet tall, of medium build with dark hair and wearing a dark fleece sweater and a white hat.

Theft

*Oct. 28 -- A man unaffiliated with the University reported that between 8 p.m., on Oct. 27 and 7 a.m., the next day, someone smashed the left vent window of his vehicle which had been parked in Lot 11 at 400 Guardian Ave. A red leather jacket, red sweater, a quarter-carat diamond earring and a handheld video game -- valued together at $425 -- were reported missing from the vehicle.

*Oct. 27 -- A female University student reported that between 5 p.m., on Oct. 26 and 5 p.m., the next day, someone removed her red mountain bicycle which had been secured to the rack outside Harnwell College House at 3820 Locust Walk. A bar had also been removed from the bike rack. The bike is valued at $300.

*Oct. 27 -- Five members of the Rutgers University womens ice hockey team reported that between 2:30 p.m., and 4 p.m., someone entered the unsecured locker room at the Class of 1923 Ice Rink at 3130 Walnut St., and removed $270 from their wallets.

*Oct. 26 -- A female University student reported that between 9 a.m., and 11:15 a.m., she fell asleep while studying at Van Pelt Library, located at 3420 Walnut St. While she was asleep someone took two credit cards from her purse. When she returned home, she was notified by PNC Security that $1,000 had been charged to her account. She later canceled her credit cards.

*Oct. 25 -- A woman unaffiliated with the University reported that sometime between Oct. 24 and Oct. 25, someone entered her secured room at the Inn at Penn, located at 3600 Sansom St., and took a necklace valued at roughly $100.
