* August 7 -- Employees of the Freshgrocer, located at 4001 Walnut Street, reported that at about 5:45 p.m., an African-American male entered the store and proceeded to put a package of shrimp down his pants. When employees stopped the man, a physical confrontation ensued and the man threatened to stab the employees with a needle. Broderick Rook, 37, of the 900 block of Cecil Street was arrested.

* August 6 -- A woman who is affiliated with the University reported that at about 1 p.m., she left her bicycle secured and unattended outside of BRB II, located at 421 Curie Boulevard. When she returned at about 6 p.m., the bike, valued at $350, was missing.

* August 6 -- A woman whose affiliation with the University is unknown reported that she left her laptop computer unsecured and unattended at about noon inside of MOD 7, located at 601 University Avenue. When she returned to the location at about 10 p.m., the computer was missing.

* August 5 -- A man who is affiliated with the University reported that he parked and secured his vehicle on August 4 on the 3900 block of Sansom Street. When he returned to his vehicle the next day at about 6 p.m., the right rear window had been smashed, and a compact disk player valued at $100 was missing.

* August 3 -- A man whose affiliation with the University is unknown reported that he left his backpack unsecured and unattended at about 2:15 p.m. inside of College Hall, room 302A, located at 3450 Woodland Walk. When he returned to the location at 3 p.m., some wiring, test equipment, a Palm Pilot, and several other items valued together at $3,133 were missing from the bag.

* August 2 -- A man affiliated with the University reported that he left his bicycle at about 4:45 p.m. inside the secured yard at St. Mary's church, located at 3916 Locust Walk. When he returned to the location at about 6:30 p.m., the bike, valued at $800, was missing.

* August 2 -- A man whose affiliation with the University is unknown reported that he parked and secured his vehicle on July 31 inside the Penn Tower garage, located at Convention Avenue and South Street. When he returned to the location on August 2, the left front door lock of the vehicle had been broken, and a stereo, compact disk player, 15 compact disks, a case, and $3 in cash were missing from the vehicle. The items were valued together at $753.

* August 2 -- A female University student reported that on July 22, she secured her bicycle to a rack outside of Harrison College House, located at 3910 Irving Street. When she went to retrieve her bike on August 2, it was missing.
