Campus Crime Report

Assault * March 5 -- A woman unaffiliated with the University reported hearing a 13-year-old girl being beaten about the head, kicked and choked by a male known to the girl. The assault took place on the 3900 block of Pine Street, and the girl was taken to the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, where she was treated for injuries to her face, neck, wrists and stomach.

Theft * March 4 -- A man affiliated with the University reported that his bicycle was taken between the hours of 3:30 a.m. and 4 a.m. The bike, valued at $400, was left unsecured at the man's residence on the 400 block of South 41st Street.

* March 1 -- A female University staff member reported that at about 2:30 p.m. her handbag was removed from her office in Vance Hall, located at 3733 Spruce Street. The bag was in a desk drawer, and was valued, together with its contents, at $150.

* February 28 -- A man whose affiliation with the University was unknown reported that his bicycle was taken between 3 p.m. and midnight outside the Towne Building, located at 220 S. 33rd Street. No value for the bike was given.

* February 28 -- A man affiliated with the University reported that he left his briefcase unattended at 6 p.m. in Steinberg-Dietrich Hall, located at 3620 Locust Walk. When he returned at 6:15 p.m., the briefcase was missing. It contained textbooks, a notebook and a calculator, with a total value of $150.

* February 28 -- A University student reported that a bicycle, valued at $150, was taken between 1 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. The bike was secured outside of Haydn Hall, located at 3320 Smith Walk.

* February 27 -- A man whose affiliation with the University was unknown reported that at about 9:40 p.m. he left his wallet on the sink in a locker room in Houston Hall, located at 3417 Spruce Street. When he returned at about 10:15 p.m., the wallet -- which contained $15 in cash and the man's identification -- was missing.
