The ska band Mighty Mighty Bosstones will headline the April 16 show, but there is something on the menu for all musical tastes -- rappers Run DMC and punk rockers D-Generation and Clowns for Progress will also perform. That variety should ensure that this year's Fling enjoys better attendance than last year's funk-themed concert. Equally important is the presence of big name recording acts with mainstream appeal, a category including both the Mighty Mighty Bosstones and Run DMC. We applaud SPEC's efforts in bringing an excellent slate of artists to campus -- the group has done its part to ensure that this year's Fling concert will be a rocking success. We can only hope that the weather does its part, knock on wood, allowing the concert to take place outdoors for the first time in four years.
