Freddy Chang, Wharton and College sophomore in the Huntsman Program, was able to negotiate with Penn to increase his financial aid from $0 to nearly $50,000.

According to a recent Business Insider article, Chang successfully lowered his original $69,000 cost of attending Penn to only $20,000. Chang was accepted ED to Huntsman in 2014 but originally received no financial aid at all.

As Chang revealed to Business Insider, NYC startup company NextGenVest helped him work with the university to be able to attend his first-choice school, Business Insider reported.  Penn awarded him the nearly $50,000 package after he wrote an appeal, submitted additional tax forms and offered more teacher recommendations.

Chang now works for NextGenVest and recommended that students seeking additional financial aid “Fight for your case and tell your story," Business Insider reported.
