Another suicide bomber blows up American soldiers. Another foreign country turns against the USA. Another damning report released from the U.N. Just another day in the news. With American foreign relations suffering from a low point, it seems that (as long as Bush is at the helm) no one outside the U.

I woke up early, got dressed, and hopped into the car with the rest of my family. We drove downtown until we reached a cemetery. Passing underneath the extended ladders of two fire trucks, we entered the area where the city buries its fallen heroes. We stood next to the graves as the procession began.

As a new freshman at Penn, I can hardly describe my excitement for the coming four years. Already, I have experimented with uranium, participated in meaningful discussions on U.S. poverty and learned much from amazing professors. Just as Noam Harel wrote in his guest opinion last Friday, "there has never been a better time for current or past Penn students to puff our chests out when we say, 'I go to Penn,' or 'I went to Penn.
