After conceding four goals to both Villanova and Dartmouth during a three-game losing skid, Penn men’s soccer righted the ship on Saturday against Yale. The Quakers (4-4-5, 2-2 Ivy) blanked the Bulldogs (2-7-2, 1-2-1 Ivy) by a score of 3-0 on goals from Dami Omitaomu, Gideon Metrikin and Alec Neumann.

Sophomore Gideon Mitrikin logged his first career goal for Penn men's soccer on Saturday, putting the Quakers up 2-0 in what would end up a 3-0 shutout at Yale.

The Quakers (4-4-5, 2-2 Ivy) blanked the Bulldogs (2-7-2, 1-2-1 Ivy) by a score of 3-0 on goals from Dami Omitaomu, Gideon Metrikin and Alec Neumann.






Junior libero Michelle Pereira led the defense for Penn volleyball with 13 digs on Friday, but she couldn't stop the Princeton attack as the Tigers took the match in straight sets.

Volleyball is all about working in system to get opponents out of system. For Penn volleyball, new changes to their system had mixed reviews against an unflappable Princeton squad. On Friday evening, Penn lost a tough straight-set match to Ivy League-leading Princeton.


As we all know, the presidential debates mark the tail end of the two-year-long campaign for president of the United States.  With the cicada-esque lifespan of the campaign coming to an end, television networks across the country reap record ratings by broadcasting these debates.  Some of you may still remember the debate from this past week, which drew 71 million viewers, and which represents the conclusion of the most-watched series of presidential debates in history.  But does “most-watched” mean “best?”  Based on the leading nature of that question, I think many of you would disagree.
