Eight members of Penn baseball have been honored with selections to All-Ivy teams.

The Varsity Eight was named to the first-team All-Ivy following their first place finish at the EARC Sprints last weekend.

Seven members of Penn men’s lacrosse have been recognized as United States intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) All-Americans, a program record.

Led by Dave Merrick and Karl Thornton, 1971 Penn cross country achieved impressive results in the Ivy League and at the national level.

This weekend, 27 members of Penn track and field will travel to Jacksonville, FL. for the NCAA Preliminaries.

Penn Rowing had a solid weekend, with the men’s lightweight team picking up wins and a consistent showing on the women’s side.

The series’ third installment played out much the same as the prior meetings, remaining tight throughout, but this time, the Bulldogs (14-3, 5-1 Ivy) got the edge, defeating the Quakers (12-4, 6-0) in an instant overtime classic, 19-18.

After more than 10 years as an assistant coach for Penn women’s basketball, Bernadette Laukaitis will take on the role of head coach at Holy Family University, her alma mater. 

This Sunday, Penn will battle it out against Yale for the final time this season, after having won their two previous matchups.

In their last meet before the NCAA preliminaries next weekend, Penn track had strong performances at the ECAC & IC4A Championships.

In front of large and raucous Franklin Field crowd, Penn men’s lacrosse put on a show, defeating Army 13-8 in the first round of the NCAA Lacrosse Tournament.

Things didn’t end in the Quakers’ favor on Friday afternoon in Syracuse, N.Y., in the first round of the NCAA Division I Women’s Lacrosse Tournament, where the Hoyas clinched a 13-12 victory.

 “I have decided that it is best to conduct a full-scale national search to find the optimal team to accomplish that vision,” Walts wrote in an email sent to all Penn student-athletes.  

With the latest win has come a slew of conference awards, which were announced for both men’s and women’s track on Wednesday. 

After a loss against Princeton in the Ivy Tournament Finals, Penn women's lacrosse will hope to emerge victorious against Georgetown in their first game of postseason play. 

After a strong performance during the regular season, Penn men's lacrosse will compete against Army in the first round of the NCAA Tournament this Saturday.

"Somebody who swims with us as long as they have is part of the Penn swimming community forever, and I’m looking forward to helping do things to help support Dillon," Coach Mike Schnur said.
