2011 College graduate and current fashion writer for The Washington Post Rachel Tashjian came to Kelly Writers House on Oct. 24 for her presentation, “Fashion: A Political Statement.” 

At the rally, speakers including Philadelphia Mayor Cherelle Parker, and Speaker of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives Joanna McClinton stressed the importance of voter turnout.

1999 College graduate John Legend visited campus on Monday afternoon alongside model Chrissy Teigen and Jack Schlossberg to advocate for youth voter participation and the Harris-Walz campaign.

Trump’s support is highest among students in the Wharton School and the School of Engineering and Applied Science.

Approximately 50 students, Penn affiliates, ACCA members, and Philadelphia community members attended the event, which was held at Two Locals Brewing on Oct. 23.

Alongside Weissman, 81 other Nobel laureates across the disciplines of chemistry, physics, medicine, and economics signed the open letter supporting Harris in her bid for president. 

Casey and Warnock urged attendees to continue to participate in grassroots campaigning and to encourage their friends to turn out to vote on Nov. 5. 

The event — titled “A More Perfect Union: Histories of Voting in America” — featured presentations by faculty members from neighboring institutions moderated by Penn professors and a student panel.

Both groups indicated a large boost in members and engagement this semester compared to previous years. 

Over 900 Penn affiliates registered for the event, half of whom were students, according to a University spokesperson.

At the “Get Out the Early Vote” rally, Ocasio-Cortez and Fain encouraged an energized crowd of around 250 attendees to continue canvassing and door knocking in the final two weeks leading up to Election Day.

The Penn JVP Chapter was founded by a College sophomore and graduate student, who requested anonymity due to fear of personal harassment.  

In front of a crowd of nearly 200 people in Bucks County, Harris made an appeal to moderate and Republican voters to put "country over party"

The event was organized by Vote That Jawn, a nonpartisan initiative started by Penn senior lecturer Lorene Cary to bring young voters to the polls.
