This weekend, Tri Delta sisters had a moment of Reflection - and felt better about themselves as a result. Reflections Body Image Program is a Tri Delta-based eating-disorder prevention program, created to improve body image among young women. The program began in 2007 with Carolyn Becker, a professor of psychology at Trinity University.

From sketches of fruit to paintings of llamas, the artwork showcased in the Rotunda Saturday afternoon was original and varied. The student-sponsored event was organized by the Penn Art Club and consisted of student musical performances and a gallery exhibition, both featuring work by over 40 talented Penn students.

Even though the freshman class has not yet moved out of a Penn dorm, one group thinks they can help students navigate the process. Penn Move Out, started this year by students in the Ware College House entrepreneurship residential program, wants to take care of student belongings over summer break.

This election season, the Nominations and Elections Committee challenged students to "get out the vote." Almost half of the student population listened. With an unprecedented 49.77-percent voter turn-out and no violations filed, the NEC announced the names of candidates elected to the Undergraduate Assembly and Class Boards on Friday night.

There are many faces of Peter Kuperman. The 1996 Penn alumnus is a San Francisco hedge fund manager by day and a chef by night; he created a Facebook group aiming to fix the high-rise elevators and an internship program for Management and Technology students.

After the buzz about the 2008 election died down on Locust Walk, nine Penn students followed the excitement to the District of Columbia for the Washington Semester Program - the study-abroad experience only a few states away. According to some program directors and participants, the combination of a new administration and a bad economy is spurring more interest in Washington for the Washington Semester Program opportunities.

Penn Law professor Wendell Pritchett was named chancellor of Rutgers University-Camden Campus and will assume his post on June 30, Rutgers announced yesterday. Pritchett has taught at Penn Law since 2001. After serving as associate dean at Penn Law from 2006 to 2008, he will begin similar administrative and developmental responsibilities at Rutgers.

Marjane Satrapi, critically acclaimed graphic novelist, introduced herself last night as someone who "writes with pictures." The room in College Hall where she spoke was overflowing with students eager to listen to the creator of Persepolis, the graphic novel about a girl growing up during the Iranian Revolution.

According to Rose Ciotta, author of Cruel Games: A Brilliant Professor, A Loving Mother, A Brutal Murder, the Rafael Robb case intrigued her because "it wasn't one of those neat, clean CSI cases." Ciotta, The Philadelphia Inquirer deputy city editor and investigative reporter, held a book signing of Cruel Games last night at the Penn Bookstore.

Yesterday evening, Penn students took back the night. Take Back the Night, an initiative addressing sexual violence and abuse, brought students together for a rally on College Green and to hear a survivor speak out on Wynn Commons. The event also included several speakers and slam poets from Excelano, Penn's spoken word project, and a march around campus.

John McCain, who admitted last year during the campaign to having never sent or received an e-mail, is now tweeting many times a day to his 341,720 followers.

Penn researchers received $1.7 million from Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation to organize and share the database resources on parasite genomes. David Roos, the E. Otis Kendall Biology professor, will lead this project. According to Roos, scientists have accumulated a large amount of genomic data.

Robbery March 25 - A woman unaffiliated with the University, 28, reported at about 1:30 a.m. that an unknown suspect took her money at gunpoint on the 4000 block of Spruce Street, before fleeing in an unknown direction. March 26 - A man unaffiliated with the University, 19, reported that a group of unknown males displayed a handgun and a knife, robbed him of cash and personal property, then fled north on 41st Street.

Yesterday, ten talented engineering students strutted their stuff and fought a battle of wits in the ARCH auditorium in an attempt to win the coveted title of Mr. or Ms. SEAS. The event was organized by the Engineering Student Activity Council and consisted of a walk-off, a talent show, a question-and-answer section and a date auction for the five male and five female contestants.

As advance registration comes to a close this weekend, students will have one more chance to register for courses on the old Penn InTouch system. This June, Penn InTouch will finally get an extreme makeover two years in the making. During that time, Student Registration and Financial Services "refreshed" the Penn InTouch online system with the help of Information Services and Computing and two advisory committees.
